Hazelden Women’s Residence

Phase I: The two-story, 22,700 sq. ft. Hazelden Women’s Residence project consisted of remodeling an existing building on the Hazelden Center City Campus. The first floor contained pod style housing (up to three patients per pod), treatment rooms, group conference spaces, kitchen, and common spaces. The second floor housed patients needing a higher level of care. The greatest challenge on this project were the low floor-to-floor heights which required close coordination with the mechanical contractor and non-standard light fixture solutions.

Phase II: A new two-story residence project consisted of two 22-bed units for women, a library, meeting rooms, community living areas, administration spaces, and a nursing unit. In addition to the electrical system, Parsons was also responsible for the relocation of the existing 15KV distribution system and the installation of the paging and fire alarm systems.
